League Rules & Code of Conduct

The Welland Ladies Slo-Pitch League follows the current Softball Canada / Slo-Pitch Ontario handbook, with specific local exceptions that ensure fairness, safety, and sportsmanship for all players. Players and teams are expected to respect umpires, teammates, and opponents at all times, and to uphold the spirit of friendly competition both on and off the field.

• Teams must have the majority of players aged 18 or older (max two aged 16–18).
• No steel spikes — only rubber-tipped cleats are permitted.
• Home teams are responsible for lining and preparing the diamonds before each game.
• Games are 9 innings or 90 minutes, with a 7-run cap per inning (final inning unlimited).
• All players must bat and field at least three innings in a full game.
